Dualit

Dualit was born out of one man's passion for invention, well-engineered products and hard work. Max Gort-Barten was a German-born entrepreneur who bought a small factory in London post-WWII. He had several early inventions, including the Dual-Light electric fire from which Dualit took its name. He went on to design and engineer a revolutionary six-slice toaster with a built-in timer in 1952, which bears a striking resemblance to today's Vario toaster. The company has gradually extended its range of commercial toasters, and added products like kettles, coffee machines, juicers, blenders and food processors.
