If you were obsessed with last season's oxblood colour trend, get ready to fall for its daring update this summer.

With fuchsia and purple undertones, dark berry, which stuns on all skin tones, proves that deeper tones aren't just for winter months. A popular look at this year's Met Gala, daring lips and dark dresses are a perfectly sophisticated way to dress up any outfit and are a trend you can expect to see continuing in the autumn through velvet materials, skirt styles and prints.

Not sure if you can pull off head-to-toe deep purple? Nail the dark berry lipstick look by keeping your makeup light, or try it out on your nails or in the form of an accessory (like the gorgeous Mulberry Freya handbag) for an easy transition.
