From bright yellow and fairytale florals to intricate embroidery and dazzling metallics, there was an abundance of beautiful looks seen on the red carpets of the Golden Globes, BAFTA's and Oscars this year. Here. we show you how to integrate five stand-out trends into your Spring wardrobe using some of our favourite fashion and accessories at Fenwick.

Intricate Embroidery

Embellished embroidered lace, often partnered with transparent mesh graced the silhouettes of some of Hollywood's top names. The vast amount of intricate detail and handiwork that goes into each piece makes embroidery a true show-stopper. We've seen this trend sneak into the British high street with fun denim pieces and accessories, but this trend really comes into its own for special occasions - this beautifully embellished Needle & Thread dress makes a real statement.

Mesmerising Metallics

Countless celebs sparkled in head-to-toe metallics from warm golds to shiny silvers. Our favourite red-haired beauty Emma Stone showed us how it's done in the glorious Gold Givenchy dress she wore at the weekend. Metallics aren't just great for breaking the rules, it's also a solid alternative to monochrome pieces that help break up colour in a stylish, interesting way. Whether you fully embrace the trend with a dazzling skirt, or want to nod your hat with caution by going with a fun accessory, you can have fun whether you go big or small.

Beamy Yellow

Viola Davis, Natalie Portman and Maisie Williams injected a splash of Summer to the red carpet with their positively bright yellow gowns that can't help but put a smile on your face. Sunny-golden hues in general were a big hit at the Oscars too and were proven to suit every skin tone. Take a leaf out of Naomi Harris' book with yellow shoes if you find wearing the shade in block colour too daunting. This clean cut Warehouse top is the perfect way to add a touch of yellow into your wardrobe that's not too full-on.

Tailoring & Two Pieces

Sometimes you can't beat clean-cut, elegant tailoring, and designers have definitely stepped up their game with silhouette-skimming, modern and edgy two-piece outfits that turned heads on the red carpet this year. Patterned suits, cropped tops with skirts and dresses over trousers all made appearances including on the wonder that is Meryl Streep. Slipping easily into both our work and night-time wardrobes, this Reiss jumpsuit and pair of fun, whimsical Woodstock trousers are must-haves this season.

Fairytale Florals

Several A-listers including the dazzling Duchess Cate Middleton, stunned us in full-length floral numbers straight out of a fairytale. The Disney-princess look may be trickier to pull off if you're not an actual Royal, but florals are for everyone and these two beautiful dresses will have you in full bloom.
