We love Original Penguin's 60th anniversary collection

It’s come a long way since its birth in a century-old Minnesota underwear factory in 1955. Its golf-inspired pique polo shirts were loved by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and now by men all over the world, Original Penguin, is launching a capsule collection that returns to its vintage heritage. Featuring T-shirts, polo shirts, chinos, hoodies, swimwear and a jacket, each piece has been given a washed, hand-me-down effect as if treasured and passed down through generations.

The brand’s logo, Pete the Penguin, has also had a birthday makeover in glittering gold - legend has it that one of their salesmen spotted a stuffed penguin in the window of a New York taxidermist, bought it and it became the brand's mascot

Above is our pick of the capsule pieces, as well as our highlights from the autumn/winter range below.

Original Penguin is available at Fenwick BracknellCanterbury, Kingston, Newcastle, Tunbridge Wells, and York.
