The Fenwick Beauty Buyers Top Picks

We quizzed three Beauty Buyers across the Fenwick group to find out which products make it into their private stash.

As our autumn Beauty Week is now in full-swing across Fenwick stores, we take a moment to celebrate our fabulously famed Beauty Halls - in particular, the brilliant Beauty Buyers who stock them.  As you can imagine, our buyers get to see (and try!) a whole range of products, from iconic classics to the latest launches in deciding what's going to make the cut. So who better to ask for insider tips and product picks..?

We enlisted the help of  Beauty Buyers Grace Ruthven, Jila Field and Feralyn McArdle to share their favourite fragrance of the season, the skincare staples worth investing in, and they let us take a peak at their best 'shelfie'...

What's the latest beauty launch every woman has to try?

Grace: Bobbi Brown have just launched their Retouching Face Pencils which are amazing! I love the Illuminate pencil which is perfect for all skin types and can be used to highlight cheekbones and brow bones. I also use the Light to Medium Pencil on bare skin for a more natural look at the weekend.

Jila: I am a huge fan of masks and we have recently launched an amazing one by Dr Lancer, the Lancer Lift & Plump Sheet Mask. I love this mask as it's saturated with a range of anti-ageing ingredients that give my skin a youthful glow. My skin always feels super hydrated and firmer after 10-15 minutes.

Feralyn: Ah the [Bobbi Brown] Retouching Face Pencils are amazing! Forget re-applying foundation, this little pencil is a miracle worker for any blemishes or shiny skin that appears during the day.

What's your favourite perfume right now?

Grace: Baccarat Rouge 540 from Maison Francis Kurkdjian. It launched earlier this year to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the iconic crystal house - it's an intense EDP with woody, amber and floral notes. I'm always complimented when I wear it, it's the perfect transitional fragrance as we head into Autumn.

Jila: I absolutely love rose and my favourite right now is Rose de Taif by Perris Monte Carlo. It is a dirtier rose thanks to the notes of musk.

Feralyn: Definitely Ormonde Jayne's Osmanthus.  It’s floral and intense but is also really crisp and clean at the same time.  Completely different from the usual florals.

what one piece of skincare is worth investing in?

Grace: It was plugged by Kylie Jenner and I must agree, the Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment by Kiehl's is a must-have! I was always a bit sceptical about the benefits of an eye cream but as the name suggests, it's a rich cream that gently moisturises the delicate eye area and is perfect after a long day.

Jila: I would always invest in a really good serum. The benefits come from using higher levels of active ingredients that can hydrate, strengthen and brighten the skin. I love Ananne's intensive  serum, which revitalises and tightens the skin leaving a radiant and even tone to the complexion.

Feralyn: I would certainly invest in the Re-Nutriv Ultimate Diamond range by Estée Lauder.  I love the Black Truffle extract which feels like pure heaven for you skin. My skin always feels smoother and looks more radiant after I use it.

what are the top 3 products in your make-up bag right now?

Grace: I never go anywhere without my Lancôme Hypnose Volume-A-Porter mascara in Noir Intense. This is definitely one of my desert island products as the elastomer brush allows you to build volume without clumping the lashes. I also use my Eye Defining Pen by Tom Ford everyday. It is a dual-ended liquid liner which makes creating the perfect flick  so easy. Now that autumn is here, I am fully supporting a bold lip - my favourite shade is Your Majesty from Bobbi Brown's Luxe Lip Colour range.

Jila: I adore the NARS Velvet Lip Glides - it glides on like a lip gloss, but stays put like a lipstick and is not sticky. The colour choice is amazing too!  My fave foundation is the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation because the oil-free formula contains exclusive Micro–fil™ technology which gives a gorgeous weightless, silky texture. Finally, the Eyeko Black Magic Mascara - it creates drama, volume and curl with a proper carbon black finish. Plus, it's super easy to take off!

Feralyn: Clarins' Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch is my go-to primer. How did I survive without primer?! This gives such a smooth, lightweight base for foundation. I also love the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder, it  doesn't look cakey and feels super light on the skin. How could I not mention the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette? Brilliant for sculpting and highlighting your features and yes this product really makes your skin ooze with luminosity.
