Week Four: Prints

Team up a floral sleeveless blouse with a plain trouser or go all in by mixing a micro print blouse with bold maxi print trouser for a fun and confident look.

Paul Smith rarely disappoints when it comes to fun prints, and this t-shirt dress is as wearable as they come.

In the battle of the boldest prints, this tunic from DvF is a great option that works both in the office with a smart black or white trouser or paired with denim or black leather for date night.

With everything from pineapples to pears growing on the garments of our favourite brands, fruits and tropical prints are arguably the most popular theme of the season, and this beautiful flower and cherry print Red Valentino silk blouse is a subtle and feminine way of working the trend.

MaxMara Weekend mixes gorgeous micro and maxi floral prints which, if you're feeling bold, can work well together. If you want to ease your way into prints, we love this flower print skirt, the perfect match for a crisp white shirt.

WEEK THREE: MONOCHROME

While monochrome has been popular for the past few seasons in womenswear, with zebra prints, polka dots, geometric prints and stripes appearing across collections such as DvF, Marella, DKNY and Michael Kors, you're sure to find a clean cut contrast of black and white in every woman's wardrobe this spring.

Stick with the basics by pairing a print with a solid or go bold by mixing patterns...

This season has seen an explosion of texture and detail. With everything from netting, embellishment, embroidery, laser-cut, jacquard and lace appearing on the catwalk and the high street, we're loving the 'anything goes' style cropping up across a number of our collections.

Go for jewel-detailed shirt and dress collars from the likes of DKNY and 120% Lino to make a statement or turn a simple piece into a showstopper, or opt for textured jacquard trousers from Marella or MaxMara Weekend for a wardrobe staple that pairs perfectly with a simple shirt or sweater and jacket with flats or heels.

Laser-cut detailing has continued to appear over the past few seasons, whether its on the bottom hems of the dresses or on cropped and boxed tops. We love this piece from Elie Tahari - with a contrast colour under, the detail really stands out.
