Just when we thought we couldn’t get any more excited about gin, Sunderland-based small batch distillers Poetic License revealed some very exciting news: they have launched ‘The Rarities’, available at Fenwick Newcastle.
‘The Rarities’ is a collection of 6 unique gins handcrafted by head distiller Luke Smith, the first of which, Orange Blossom Gin launched in January.
Poetic License have garnered a cult following for their innovative flavour combinations from day one, producing tantalising tipples from natural, hand-selected botanicals with the help of Gracie, their beloved hybrid copper still. This year, the small and incredibly passionate team wanted to create something completely unique with added exclusivity, so they have remained true to Gracie’s 500L capabilities and produced only 500 bottles of each of the Rarities, so once they’ve gone, they really have gone!
Zesty, refreshing and floral with hints of vanilla and a citrus finish, the recommended perfect serve for the Orange Blossom Gin is poured over large chunks of ice with Mediterranean tonic, orange peel and rosemary garnish.
These limited edition, one-off distillations of a few hundred bottles certainly won’t last long on the shelves; so head to the Fenwick Newcastle Food Hall to get yours now.
