Get the Red Carpet Look with Charlotte Tilbury

With the red carpet season now officially behind us, we're reflecting on the beauty looks that caught our eye. To no one's surprise, at the top of the pile is this swoon-worthy look from Academy Award winner Alicia Vikander, courtesy of make-up extraordinaire Charlotte Tilbury. We quizzed Charlotte on how she created the gorgeous glow for Alicia at this year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, and for her top tips on how you can recreate it for yourself. ###### Step One: Complexion First, Charlotte prepped Alicia’s skin by applying her cult-favourite Magic Cream to the entire face, followed by her new Magic Eye Rescue to the eye area. Then a thin veil of the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow was applied to create a flawless, soft focus base for her Magic Foundation in shade 8 Dark to follow. Next, the Mini Miracle Eye Wand in Shade 2 was applied underneath the eyes to brighten and illuminate, which was followed by The Retoucher Concealer in 3 Medium where needed to cover any imperfections. Charlotte then applied a light dusting of the Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro-Powder in 2 Medium to subtly mattify the skin. ###### Step Two: Brows Charlotte used her Brow Lift in the aptly-named Cara D to groom and lightly fill in where needed to perfect the brows and frame her face. ###### Step Three: Eyes To create Alicia’s golden eye look, Charlotte buffed her cream shadow Eyes to Mesmerise in Bette over the lids and softly blended up towards the socket and underneath the waterline. She then applied the Pop shade from her Luxury Palette in The Vintage Vamp into the inner corner of the eye and the middle of the lids. To define the eyes further, she applied the Rock ‘N’ Kohl Liquid Eye Pencil in Barbarella Brown to the outer corners and upper lashline. To finish the eye look, she used the Charlotte Tilbury Fat Lashes in Glossy Black to the top and bottom lashes. ###### Step Four: Cheeks To add warmth and sheen to Alicia’s skin, Charlotte applied the bronze and highlight powders from her Filmstar Bronze & Glow Face Sculpt & Highlight, which was followed by her cream-based blush Beach Stick Lip To Cheek Dewy Colour Pop in Las Salinas to add a pretty, fresh pink glow. ###### Step Five: Lips To complete the look, Charlotte lined Alicia’s lips with her Lip Cheat lip liner in Pillowtalk to define the lips and prolong the longevity of her lipstick, which was the Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bond Girl, a chic neutral berry shade.
