THE CREATION
An allusion to Guy de Maupassant’s eponymous novel, Bel Ami Eau de Toilette celebrates the authenticity of leather. This composition created in 1986 by perfumer Jean-Louis Sieuzac interprets this material with equal proportions of opulence and character.
OLFACTORY NOTES
A leathery, woody fragrance, Bel Ami Eau de Toilette is a confident and bold encounter between bewitching patchouli, rich leather and sensual cistus ladanifer.
THE OBJECT
The bottle, inspired by the lanterns of horse-drawn carriages, has a black cap reminiscent of a riding hat. The back label is illustrated with a design by Philippe Dumas, indicating that it belongs to the Parfums-Fondateurs collection.
