Want to break the nail-biting cycle? Just apply a coat of Mavala Stop. This handy little enamel is completely clear and can be used over your regular coloured polish. It's been designed to have a bitter taste to help keep your fingers away from your mouth – effectively keeping nail-biting at bay. Simply swipe on a coat every couple of days until you discourage the habit. All that's left is to enjoy your new hardy, healthy, bite-free nails. Bonus: it's safe for kids over 3 years of age, too, so you can nip little habits in the bud.

    Apply a coat onto your nails (can be over polish) and let it dry. You can re-apply every two days; just remove the original coat first.
