Christmas Through The Ages at Fenwick

With the big day fast-approaching, this year's Christmas displays are taking centre stage. To get us into the festive spirit, we took a look back at how Christmas has been celebrated at Fenwick throughout the years...

Since 1883 Fenwick has been spreading festive cheer in the local community with decorative window displays and whimsical advertisements. We took a trip down memory lane and raided the Fenwick archive to see how we've celebrated over the last 134 years, finding everything from Christmas delivery vans to colourful print ads, dazzling store front decorations and a delightful festive television advert...

Throughout our history, we've produced many illustrated Christmas ads. From fun and colourful newspaper ads to festive brochures, take a look at a few of our favourite designs...

Our eagerly anticipated Fenwick Newcastle window displays have been produced for over 40 years! We found this delightful advert from 1971 showcasing the Camberwick Green themed window display.

The much-loved Fenwick Christmas windows are one of Newcastle's favourite annual event, and continue to surprise and delight all those who attend the big reveal. This year saw thousands gather to enjoy a night of festive entertainment, where we proudly revealed our theme as 'Love From Paddington'. Join us in taking a look back through the past 12 years of glorious displays on Northumberland Street - mulled wine at the ready?
