NARS Orgasm Blush

What it is:

Perhaps the most infamous blush of all time, NARS’ Orgasm blush is designed to flatter all skin tones, and the shade is a mixture of peach and pink pigments with shimmery gold flecks.

What we thought:

“I’m a recent powder blush convert since using NARS’ Orgasm blush. The soft golden flecks give my cheeks a lovely sheen and the formula is creamy and saturated.”

Victoria Nufer, Digital Copywriter

“I love this blusher as it’s the perfect mix between peach and pink and has a gold shimmer, without being too glittery. You don’t need to use much to get a nice glow!”

Izabelle Olofsson, eCommerce Category Trader for Beauty

“I always thought of myself as a bronzer girl but after using this, I can definitely see why this product is a cult favourite. It’s feminine without being too pink and adds brightness to my cheeks. I think I have a new favourite product!”

Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream

What it is:

Soothing and moisturising, Dr. Hauschka’s Rose Day Cream is composed of plant-based ingredients, which include rose petal wax, extracts of St. John’s wort and marshmallow.

What we thought:

“Initally, I found the consistency of this cream quite thick, but once I applied it onto the face, it felt really smooth and comforting. My only gripe is that the tube is too small!”

Natalie Chui, Junior Editor for Beauty & Womenswear

“As someone who struggles with dry skin, finding a quenching moisturiser is an endless endeavor, but this cream is packed full of natural botanicals that soothe my skin. It’s quite oily, so it may interfere with your foundation.”

Victoria Nufer, Digital Copywriter

“This product is a heavy-duty day cream for the days when your skin needs that extra TLC. It’s a bit intense for daily use on my skin but it smells divine and I will definitely be upping the usage over winter.”

MAC Ruby Woo Matte Lipstick

What it is:

Launched in 1999, MAC’s Ruby Woo lipstick shade has since become synonymous with the brand itself due to its striking, true red colour and long-lasting formula.

What we thought:

“I wore it to a dinner party and my friends loved the shade so much, they all swore to buy one. It’s not a cult favourite unless you can convert your friends, right?”

Erin Fox, Digital Content Manager

“I tend to veer away from red lipstick, however, when I applied this lipstick with a brush, it gave my lips a nice, berry-like sheen and helped tone down the intensity of the pigment.”

Natalie Chui, Junior Editor for Womenswear & Beauty

“Red is my colour and I love the matte finish of this iconic lipstick shade. It lasts for hours but may feel chalky if you don’t apply a good balm first.”

Victoria Nufer, Digital Copywriter

MAC Matte Lipstick, £17.50

BIOEFFECT EGF Serum

What it is:

Utilising natural collagen-producing protein, BIOEFFECT’S EGF serum visibly smooths the complexion and increases the skin’s thickness.

What we thought:

“I have seen a real improvement in my skin after using this product for a few weeks, even though it's an added step in my skincare routine.”

Grace Malden, eCommerce Category Manager for Beauty, Accessories & Gifts

“I was surprised by the serum’s viscous consistency. It can feel tacky when not followed with a cream, so I wear it as part of my nighttime regime. After using it, I noticed that my pores appeared smaller and my skin felt more plump.”

Erin Fox, Digital Content Manager

“What I like about this serum is that a little goes a long way! You only need two to four drops and you don’t have to apply a moisturiser on top.”

Izabelle Olofsson, eCommerce Category Trader for Beauty

BIOEFFECT EGF Serum, £125

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

What it is:

Inspired by the Queen of Hungary’s historic “elixir of youth”, Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir is a vegan, natural and paraben-free facial mist that refreshes and tones the face.

What we thought:

“Two words: so refreshing! I’ve opted to use this in my post-workout skincare regime and the balm mint is really cooling after working up a sweat.”

Erin Fox, Digital Content Manager

“I’ve used several facial mists, and this is by far my favourite! It smells like a spa in a bottle and I use it whenever I need to freshen up as it gives my skin an instant hydration boost.”

Natalie Chui, Junior Editor for Womenswear & Beauty

“I like that the Beauty Elixir is made of natural ingredients and that it’s vegan and paraben-free, but the scent just wasn’t for me.”
