##### DAYTIME LOOK: Fresh and Natural **Step 1: Primer** To create a flawless base, first begin by prepping your skin with [M·A·C’s Strobe Cream](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/skincare/moisturisers/day-creams/strobe-cream/2500002057166.html) – it comes with five shades that are designed to illuminate the skin. If you’re unsure of what shade to pick, [peachlite](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/skincare/moisturisers/day-creams/strobe-cream/2500002057197.html) is an all around shade that complements any skin tone. **Step 2: Foundation** For foundation, go for a sheer base and apply one layer of [M·A·C's Studio Face & Body Foundation](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/face/foundations/studio-face-and-body-foundation/2500000805462.html) over the face. It also can be used on the body, making it a great product for big occasions. Pour a small amount of liquid into your palms, rub your hands together to warm it up, then apply it onto the face like moisturiser – add extra into areas of the skin that need more coverage. For fuller coverage, Rachel recommends the [Studio Fix Fluid Foundation](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/face/foundations/studio-fix-fluid-spf-15-foundation/2500000803420.html) as it is incredibly versatile on the skin. **Step 3: Concealer** Next, conceal any blemishes or dark circles with [M·A·C’s Studio Fix 24-Hour Smooth Wear Concealer](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/face/concealers/studio-fix-24-hour-smooth-wear-concealer/2530006903190.html). It glides smoothly onto the skin and can be layered if needed. Use the [270S Concealer Brush](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/brushes-and-tools/make-up-brushes/270s-concealer-brush/2530006903046.html), to apply the product and build up the coverage. **Step 4: Highlighter** Highlight your face with the [Cream Colour Base](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/eyes/eyeshadows/cream-colour-base/2500000802478.html) and use your fingers to apply it gently onto the tops of your cheekbones and down the bridge of your nose. “A lot of people make the mistake of packing a lot of highlighter directly onto one area,” Rachel warns. “After you apply highlighter, move your face around a bright light to see which areas need to be blended out.” **Step 5: Setting powder** Set your face with [M·A·C’s Mineralize Skinfinish Natural](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/face/finishing-powders/mineralize-skinfinish-natural/2500000803048.html), which gives the skin a beautiful eggshell finish. Take a light fluffy brush and lightly tap the setting powder onto areas that you don’t want to take away shine from, such as the forehead, side of the nose and the chin. **Step 6: Add definition to your face** Define your features with contouring and choose a shade that flatters your skin tone. For fairer skin tones, opt for a neutral tone, like [M·A·C’s Small Eye Shadow in Omega](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/eyes/eyeshadows/small-eye-shadow/2500000751301.html), and for warmer complexions, choose the [Studio Fix Sculpt and Shape Contour Palette](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/face/highlight-and-contour-palettes/studio-fix-sculpt-and-shape-contour-palette/2530006902896.html), which contains multiple shades to flatter and enhance. Use an angled brush to hug the underneath of the cheekbones, and imagine that you’re drawing a line going diagonally from the top of the ear to the mouth. **Step 7: Blush** Complete the face with a healthy flush of blusher and apply [the Mineralize Blush in Dainty](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/face/blushers/mineralize-blush/2500000799792.html) on the apples of your cheeks. This blush has a low amount of shimmer to it, and gives the face a natural glow. **Step 8: Eyebrows** “My biggest tip for eyebrows is to make sure that you brush them before applying any product,” Rachel advises. “Brush them upwards and outwards to ensure that the natural shape of your brows can be seen.” Start by drawing hair-like strokes with [M·A·C’s Eye Brows Styler](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/eyes/eyebrows/eye-brows-styler/2530005278626.html) and use the spoolie on the opposite end to smooth out the brows, then comb through with the [Pro Longwear Waterproof Brow Set](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/eyes/eyebrows/waterproof-brow-set/2500000800207.html), which grooms the hairs and seals the product in place. **PRO TIP:** If a spot on your face pops up and you’re in need of a quick fix, an easy way of concealing it is to dot an [eyebrow pencil](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/eyes/eyebrows/eye-brows-styler/2530005278626.html) right on top of it – turning it into a beauty mark. **Step 9: Eyeshadow base** Using [M·A·C’s Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Groundwork](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/eyes/eyeshadows/pro-longwear-paint-pot/2500000750465.html), apply a soft wash of colour all over the eyelid, and gently blend it just above the socket line. The long-wearing gel formula of the cream eyeshadow helps to serve as a base for powder eyeshadows. **Step 10: Add colour to the eyelid and crease** To make the eyes pop, take a light metallic shade from the [Burgundy Eye Shadow Palette](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/eyes/eyeshadows/eye-shadow-x-9/2530003586723.html) and apply it over the lid, using your fingers to soften out any loose particles. “Anything with shimmer is very easy to blend,” says Rachel. “So always apply it first before putting on matte shades.” Next, take a neutral purple tone and apply it directly onto the socket, and use a brush to blend it out in a windscreen wiper motion. **Step 11: Curl your lashes and apply mascara** Curl your lashes to really open the eyes up. If you're not custom to using a [curler](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/brushes-and-tools/beauty-tools/full-lash-curler/2500000747267.html), hold a handheld mirror underneath your face, so that you're naturally looking down - this helps to align the lash curler correctly. Finish the eyes with a coat of mascara, and apply [M·A·C’s In Extreme Dimension Lash](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/eyes/mascaras/in-extreme-dimension-lash/2500000802102.html) to the top and bottom lashes. **Step 12: Lips** For a natural stained-lip, apply [Ruby Woo](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/lips/lipsticks/matte-lipstick/2500000806575.html) onto your fingers before dabbing it onto the centre of the lips, taking only a small amount of pigment.
##### EVENING LOOK: How to glam it up **Step 1: Add colour to the eyelid and crease** Dial up the drama by placing a shimmery pink tone from the [Burgundy Eye Shadow Palette](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/eyes/eyeshadows/eye-shadow-x-9/2530003586723.html) across the eyelids, and blend it just above the socket line and under the eye. Then, place the darkest shade directly into the outer corner of the socket, and use a tapered brush to blend it through in a windscreen wiper motion. Complete the eyeshadow by adding a tiny amount of shimmer on the inner corners of the eye to mimic a ‘wide-eye’ effect. **Step 2: Add eyeliner for drama** Taking [M·A·C’s Kohl Power Eye Pencil](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/eyes/eyeliners/kohl-power-eye-pencil/2500000746819.html), gently line the waterline and lash line – be sure to hold it on a slant and don’t have it pointing towards the face. To draw the perfect wing, use your bottom lash line as a guideline and make sure to draw a thin line going towards the eye. Do it looking directly at a mirror, so that you can see exactly what the wing will look like. Then use an angled brush to smudge out the liner and accentuate the winged shape. **Step 3: Layer with mascara** Apply another layer of [M·A·C’s In Extreme Dimension Lash](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/eyes/mascaras/in-extreme-dimension-lash/2500000802102.html) to your lashes – moving from the roots upwards. This mascara is perfect for day-to-night wear as it’s incredibly buildable. **Step 4: Prep the lips with balm** Moisturise the lips with the [Prep + Prime Lip](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/lips/lip-balms/prep-prime-lip/2500000746901.html), and apply the balm to ensure that your lipstick stays put. **Step 5: Line your lips** Define your lips with a lip liner, and for a bold red lip, Rachel suggests using either [Cherry](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/lips/lip-liners/lip-pencil/2500001322395.html) or [Ruby Woo](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/lips/lip-liners/lip-pencil/2500000747557.html). Overdraw only on the centre of the lips, and keep the sides close to the lip line. **Step 6: Lipstick** No red lip is more iconic than [M·A·C’s Ruby Woo](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/lips/lipsticks/matte-lipstick/2500000806575.html) and its true-red tone is designed to flatter all skin tones. To go for a bold, red lip, apply the lipstick directly from the bullet onto your lips. **Step 7: Spray, set & party** Finishing everything off with the [Prep + Prime Fix+](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/beauty/make-up/face/setting-sprays/prep-prime-fix/2500000747137.html)! It's a hydrating facial mist that can also be used to prep the skin, and extends the wear of your make-up.
