Located on the lower ground floor of Fenwick of Bond Street, the warm bubble lights welcome you in and create a friendly environment where you can wine and dine with friends. Considered colours and textures create the perfect enclave. We have taken inspiration and paid tribute to the Mayfair high life. Step inside and behold a banquet of British-inspired sharing plates. Offering a delightful array of British ingredients accompanied by a selection of the [finest English wines](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/food/wines-and-spirits/wine?prefn1=byCountry&prefv1=England), it is truly an experience to savour. Throughout our history, we have strived to offer discerning shoppers’ food and drink of note, and Brook Street Café and Wine Room continue that tradition. This time, our globetrotting expedition of exceptional ingredients and wines led us to one especially intriguing destination: England. [Brook Street Café](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/services/service/?cid=47a0f5bd-43b7-40ca-8e2a-c07a886ca139) offers an inspired menu of world-leading yet locally sourced small plates, complimented by an intriguingly English selection of [wines](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/food/wines-and-spirits?prefn1=byCountry&prefv1=England). Indulge on imaginative versions of beloved classics, from creamy smoked cod's roe with radishes, to linguine with sparklingly fresh Morecambe Bay shrimp and mace butter. Inviting and informal, Brook Street Café fuses together comfort and taste, making it the ideal setting to grab a bite to eat with friends inbetween shopping. Seating ranges from lively perches at the bar, to communal areas for casual gatherings, or cosy banquettes in gleaming brass and tactile wood; with 'The Nook' offering a cosy enclave for special occasions at the head of the room.
[The Wine Room](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/services/service/?cid=851c70fd-f589-4d15-9a09-dd5be91e3b69); a unique experience adjacent to the restaurant where enthusiasts can enjoy impromptu wine tasting sessions, is the result of years of intrepid exploration which ultimately returned us to our own shores. Here in England, we discovered astonishing quality, from spectacular [whites](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/food/wines-and-spirits/wine/white?prefn1=byCountry&prefv1=England) to enigmatic rosés and remarkable [reds](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/food/wines-and-spirits/wine/red). We sat down with Patrick Eyres, Assistant Wine Buyer to discuss wine pairing. He says, “The key to pairing is being adventurous. Venture outside your comfort zone and try things you endeavour to work, as well as trusted combinations that you know do. There is no right or wrong. All our palates are different, trying new combinations is the only way to find a new favourite.”
Until recently, British wine was often overlooked for our European, Australasian and American counterparts. In the last decade, however, vineyards across England have more than doubled and are highly regarded. English wines are synonymous with quality. Patrick calls out his personal highlights of our wine room, “A solitary highlight is impossible to choose with so many exciting options. Our range of around 40 English wines includes both Still and Sparkling across the very best of crisp [White](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/food/wines-and-spirits/wine/white), dry-blush Rosé and full-bodied [Red wines](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/food/wines-and-spirits/wine/red). Our selection also comprises a fabulous range of Spirits. This features an in-store only exclusive, a Double Gold award winner at the International Spirits Challenge 2019, a perfectly aged 40-year-old Dalmore Scottish Whisky.” Can’t try a tempting tipple in person?
