1971: The First Fenwick Christmas Windows

One of our most anticipated events of the year, our themed Christmas windows first began in 1971. Champions of being forward-thinking, creative and imaginative; we’ve continued to make these windows an annual tradition which takeover the eight windows of our flagship Newcastle store. Our most recent Christmas window showcased Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which was unveiled to over 2,000 people. The initial brainstorm for the year’s theme begins on 1st January and window planning starts in April.

A new year calls for a new foundation, right? 500,000: The number of bees at our Newcastle store beehive

This year, we launched our own label food. Fenwick Food and Drink comprises of a host of delicious pantry essentials and indulgent treats, from preserves and chocolates, to hampers and flavoured liqueurs. We have 500,000 bees on top of the Fenwick Newcastle rooftop, which produce our Northumberland Street Honey, sold exclusively in the store's Food Hall.

What’s Christmas - and any gifting occasion, really - without a pair of socks? This year, we have sold one pair of socks every four minutes across our website and in our nine stores.

25,000: The number of pizzas we make every year at Fuego

Located in both Bracknell and Newcastle, our Mediterranean-inspired tapas restaurant Fuego serves approximately 80,000 people annually. Giving people ample opportunity to explore a varied selection, from Spanish charcuterie to 25,000 stone-baked Napoli-style pizzas, it’s a casual dining experience perfect for a post-shopping refuel.
