We’re celebrating the menswear launch of PS Paul Smith on fenwick.co.uk with our top picks of what to buy for the season.
Quirky prints. Check. Inventive tailoring. Check. Zebra logo. Check. Sir Paul Smith has his finger on the pulse of British fashion and has rendered it for the [PS Paul Smith](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/brands/ps-paul-smith) Spring/Summer 2019 collection. And to celebrate the launch of menswear on fenwick.co.uk, we’ve rounded up our top five picks to buy now from our carefully curated selection. #### Behind the Collection The SS19 collection started with one word: reflection. Smith looked to his father’s photography archive, as well as photographs from his personal collection, to capture the zeitgeist of menswear dressing for the spring season. The brand put a modern spin on the photographs turned prints by transforming them using overprinting – the process of printing one colour on top of another – and overdyeing – to dye fabric up to three times – techniques to create rich, deep colours across the outerwear, denim and knitwear offerings. What is our favourite piece of the collection? Fenwick's Buying Manager - Trend, Mithun Ramanandi says, "I like the Harold's Seascape print because it's an easy entry point to wearing prints. It appears like camo, which many men feel comfortable in."

PS Paul Smith Harold’s Seascape Reversible Mac, £300

Known for its exuberant prints, the PS Paul Smith SS19 collection is no exception. This season, Smith uses photographs from his father, Harold, and reimagines it. The clean cuts of the mac, combined with the photographic print, are reminiscent of the British seaside.

PS Paul Smith Harold’s Seascape Tee, £75

For a new interpretation of the classic white T-shirt, Smith recreates the dip dye effect using the Seascape print and blue ombre striping on the lower half of the tee. We suggest pairing this T-shit with the Seascape Mac for a matching, yet complementary, look.

PS Paul Smith Crew Neck Zebra Sweat, £85

A tongue-in-cheek nod to the brand’s moto “classic with a twist”, the Zebra logo – styled with PS Paul Smith’s trademark multi-stripe pattern – makes a subtle appearance on this navy lightweight crew sweater.

Comfort meets style with the tailored track pant, combining athleisure and formalwear. And should we suggest, appropriate enough for the office? If this is the intended use, then pair with a tailored collared shirt – one with a print, preferably.
