Whether it be a lightweight windbreaker or a fitted overcoat, the thought of slipping out of our heavy-duty winter outerwear and into something much lighter instantly puts us into a summer state of mind. But while it may be too soon to dust off our summer wardrobes, now is the perfect time to start transitioning into spring by opting in for a midweight jacket. This week, we asked three of our beloved menswear buyers to style a spring jacket of their choice. The Windbreaker

“I like this windbreaker from Polo Ralph Lauren as it’s lightweight and can be easily worn under my heavier layers. On milder days, I like to pair it with a plain yet contrasting tee, like this one from Hartford and a pair of Tyler Jeans that that gives the whole look a casual yet preppy feel,” says Jack Kidd, eCommerce Menswear Trader.

The Bomber Jacket

“I’ve been looking for a khaki jacket for a while now, as the shade can be dressed in both lighter and darker colours, so when I spotted this Aspesi Buttoned Bomber Jacket, I was immediately interested. I like that it has two pockets to store my wallet and keys, and I’m not one for large logos, so I like that this jacket doesn’t have one - it keeps it looking clean and modern,"says Daniel Raynbird, Assistant Menswear Buyer for Contemporary & Shoes.

The Trench Coat

“I try to invest in clothing that can be used for several different occasions, and this Lindeberg Trench Coat is a great example as you can dress it up or down. I like that it is double-breasted with an oversized fit, giving it a more modern look. The fabric is from the Italian mill Olmetex, which specialises in technical fabrics for sportswear and outerwear. This piece is weatherproof, perfect for the unpredictable spring season.” Adding “I’ve layered it with a Light Padded Vest from Wood Wood, which adds a layer of warmth on those colder mornings and nights. But my favourite part of the outfit is the Hamish Trouser from Wood Wood; they’re oversized and extremely comfortable because of the lightweight cotton/polyester blend,” says Ben Roberts, Menswear Trend Buyer.
