We were delighted and honoured to welcome Her Majesty The Queen to our Fenwick Bracknell store last week in her official tour of the recently refurbished Lexicon Shopping Centre.
The Queen was visiting Bracknell to see the results of a £240 million makeover of the town centre, which saw the demolition of many post-war buildings to give space for exciting sporting and cultural events, and the remodelling of The Lexicon centre, complete with brand new shops and restaurants.
“It is the most wonderful transformation of a town centre and we’re so proud to be the flagship store of this town, and it really is bringing the heart back to Bracknell,” said Hugo Fenwick, Store Development Director, who had the privilege of showing Her Majesty around the store alongside Store Director of Bracknell, Craig Strugnell.
Her Majesty The Queen was also introduced to Leo Fenwick, Head of Brand, and Mia Fenwick, Brand and Marketing Director, as well as her daughter, 6th generation Fenwick family member, Alba Fenwick Kelly, who presented The Queen with a beautiful bouquet of purple and white flowers.
During her visit, The Queen spent time admiring our infamous millinery department, and pointed out a couple styles from designers Vivien Sherrif and Rachel Trevor-Morgan – who also created the hat worn by Her Majesty for her visit.
The Queen also made time to browse the [Clarins](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/brands/clarins) counter, view a portrait by Ed Fairburn entitled _Windsor Forest,_ and inspect the latest collaboration fashion collaboration from Fenwick and hertiage label [Barbour](https://www.fenwick.co.uk/search/?cgid=%27barbour%27%24).
“It was an honour to welcome Her Majesty The Queen to Fenwick this morning," shared Hugo. "We are very proud to be a part of the Bracknell community and the town centre regeneration programme that was on display today. It’s been a delight for our team members to be at the heart of such a historic occasion, one which will be fondly remembered by all.”
