Baci di Dama from Northern Italy consist of two hazelnut biscuits sandwiched together with a dollop of dark chocolate. Literally translated to “lady’s kisses”, the name originates from their resemblance to two lips intent on giving a kiss. Crumbly and melt-in-the-mouth, they are perfect with an espresso or as an afternoon snack.

Ingredients

Wheat flour 24%, vegetable margarine 20% (vegetables oils and fats (palm, rapeseed in varying proportion). water, emulsifiers (lecithins, mono-diglycerides of fatty acids), salt, artificial flavouring, acidity regulator (citric acid), colour (B-carotene)), sugar 20%, toasted hazelnuts 19%, dark chocolate 13% (sugar. cocoa mass, cocoa butter, emulsifier (soya lecithin), natural vanilla flavouring), hazelnut paste 3%, cocoa powder 1%, egg white 1%.
