A STAUB La Cocotte can be used to prepare a wide variety of casseroles and roasted dishes. This round, black cast iron roasting pan keeps heat inside so that less energy is used while cooking and has a 1.7l capacity, a height of 13cm and a base diameter of 18cm. The word "cocotte" is French. Exceptional heat-retaining and heat-distributing capabilities are just some of the benefits of cooking with this French cast iron casserole dish. A special matt black enamel coating also intensifies these capabilities to create perfect conditions for stewing and simmering. Enamel coating is also used on the outside of the dish to regulate heat and distribute it evenly throughout the food. Cast iron is also noted for its robustness so the dish will provide many years of service.
