##### About Brook Street Café The very finest food and drinks from the farthest corners of the British Isles can now be savoured in the heart of London's most prestigious shopping district, with the arrival of Fenwick's Brook Street Café and Wine Room. Fenwick has long offered discerning shoppers food and drink of note, and Brook Street Café and Wine Room continue that tradition. This time, our globetrotting in search of the world's most exceptional ingredients and wines led us to one especially intriguing destination: England. The convivial Brook Street Café offers an inspired menu of world-leading yet locally sourced small plates, complimented by an intriguingly English selection of wines. Showcasing the very finest British produce and producers, the changing seasonal menu offers vibrant, imaginative takes on beloved classics, from creamy smoked cod's roe with radishes, to linguine with sparklingly fresh Morecambe Bay shrimp and mace butter. Ingredients are presented with reverence and a deft touch: oysters from Lindisfarne, thickly hand-cut Cobble Lane sausage, and cheeses from Neal's Yard Dairy. Inviting and informal, Brook Street Café characterises the impeccable comfort and taste for which Fenwick is so admired. Seating ranges from lively perches at the bar, to communal areas for casual gatherings, or cosy banquettes with gleaming brass and tactile wood; with 'The Nook' offering a cosy enclave for special gatherings at the head of the room. The Wine Room is the result of years of intrepid exploration, which ultimately returned us to our own shores. Here in England, we discovered astonishing quality, from spectacular whites to enigmatic rosés and remarkable reds. Sharing similar terroirs with our neighbours' esteemed winemaking regions, English wines have truly arrived. Decades-old vines, homegrown talent and revered traditional methods have resulted in sparkling wines to rival any in the world (or trounce them, as they often do now in blind tastings). Intrepid, inquisitive drinkers will delight in these wines of prestige – and pure pleasure. The Wine Room's selection of remarkable – and remarkably English – wines may be either sampled or purchased from the expert colleagues on hand, or enjoyed by the glass with a selection of tempting snacks at the bar. Wine is served in state-of-the-art Stem Zero glassware, and perfectly preserved using the Coravin system – both of which may also be purchased to take home. Together, they represent a thoroughly modern (and wonderfully decadent) addition to Mayfair, and to Fenwick's beloved restaurants.
