Take a look at our Q&A with the artist Ed Fairburn who has been commissioned to create some bespoke artwork in the new Fenwick Bracknell store.
Tell us a bit about yourself...
I've been a freelance artist since graduating from Cardiff art school in 2012. My work currently explores the creative of use patterns and information
What inspires you and your art?
I'm especially interested in altering different kinds of maps and manipulating the visual language of cartography. Using traditional methods (ink, pencil etc) I integrate or tease out secondary images within the terrain. Usually the human figure, as it lends well to the concept of seeking out natural similarities hidden between subject and context
What attracted to you to working with Fenwick?
Working with Fenwick in Bracknell has been an exciting experience
What did you enjoy most about working on the Bracknell in store project?
The area itself presents beautifully on a map, offering the opportunity to work with forestry in addition to other regular features.
Join us tomorrow for the the Grand Opening of the new Fenwick Bracknell store.
