Founded by a Notting Hill native enamoured of the antique shops lining Portobello Road, it all began with a fateful conversation with an antiques dealer. Richard, a design student at the time, noticed that there were piles upon piles of beautiful antique tea saucers missing their matching cups. The dealer explained that people simply break cups more frequently than saucers, so they survive the test of time but no longer have a purpose. Richard created mirrored cups which, when placed on the antique saucers, would reflect the original pattern back, crossing centuries of innovation to give the pieces a home in the modern world. This became Richard’s founding collection, Reflect. Richard has since developed his portfolio of bone china, to include several collections of unique and striking tableware, teaware, incredible cut crystal and fine glassware, that’s of high quality and made to last. His products are designed to maximise the pleasure of food and drink and are made by master craftsmen around the world, who have a historical connection to their materials and techniques.
