SMYRNA AN OLFACTORY JOURNEY A Night in the Orient This journey to the Orient begins with vigorous Bergamot top notes and other citrus aromas. Then Turkish Rose chimes in with is velvety and voluptuous character, under which spices and the dark perfume of Black Pepper reside. SMYRNA's final flourish contains all the promise of distant lands with its enigmatic and intoxicating woody, milky notes. *ROSA DAMASCENA DAMASK ROSE ABSOLUTE Turkish Rose is picked by hand at dawn to avoid the petals oxidising before being mixed. It is then distilled to obtain the precious essence. A hundred and fifty thousand roses are needed to produce a few grams of essential oil. Damascena is the Pétrus of perfumery: profound, mysterious, the eternal queen. **PIPER AROMATICUM ESSENCE OF BLACK PEPPER Its berries are picked and then dried, reduced to powder and distilled to extract the essential oil of Black Pepper. Black pepper may be a little spicy to the taste, but it is its incisive freshness and mystery that burst through in a perfume. Floral Chypre including heady wisps of velvety Rose enlivened with Black Pepper, the memory of an Oriental night. This singular composition has been crafted according to the traditions of French Haute Parfumerie, using only the finest precious primary ingredients inspired by the travels of the botanist Louis Feuillée.
