LYSANDRA the Butterfly the symbol of grace, both delicate and subtle. *JASMIN GRANDIFLORUM JASMINE ABSOLUTE Jasminum Grandiflorum, a key ingredient within modern Haute Parfumerie is kown for its small white, velvety blossoms. Its petals are fragile and fragrant so best collected at dawn to preserve the integrity of their essence which can be affected by sunlight. Several million blossoms are required to produce 1kg of concentrate, rendering its absolute (a concentrated, highly aromatic, oily mixture similar to essential oil) a very precious commodity. The aroma of Jasmine is both intense and slightly animal, surprising for a such a seemingly innocent-looking flower. **MANDARIN MANDARIN ESSENCE Mandarin is a Winter fruit with a zesty fragrance that is paradoxically Summery. It illuminates perfumes with its sparklingly joyful notes. It's fragrance is extracted from the crushing of the peel of the fruit, and its bright, zesty essence is one of the earliest ingredients used in perfume creation. When used as a principal ingredient it can lighten powdery notes, and lift ambery blends. One of the world's premier perfumers - Jean-Claude Ellena - is Creative Fragrance Dirctor of Le Couvent. He has put together this graceful Powdered Floral fragrance to evoke the evanescent grace and delicate fluttering of a butterfly around a sunlit clearing awash with Jasminum Grandiflorum and sweet Mandarin.
