SAIGA, the Antelope - subtle and elegant. *BLACKCURRANT BUD ESSENCE OF BLACKCURRANT BUD For many years Blackcurrant was only considered an edible ingredient and its use in the field of Parfumerie is relatively recent. Grasse's perfumers were the first to recognise the exceptional olfactive potiential of cultivating the buds of this little red fruit. On the one hand it has a green acidity that bestows power and tenacity to flowery or fruity compositions, while at the heart of a fragrance, Blackcurrant just lifts the ensemble to another level, bringing out soft sweetness that is both unforced and refreshing. **ROSE CENTIFOLIA CENTIOLIA ROSE ABSOLUTE Centifolia Rose - also known as May Rose is now grown in Grasse. This rose is best harvested in the early morning before the sun has a chance to dessicate the rose, one by one they are picked using a particular maneouvre passed down for generations. The delicate petals are then gathered and distilled to preserve the freshness of their honeyed, floral aroma. They are particularly precious because this variety of rose only flowers once a year, some time in May-June.
