What are your ultimate brow and lash no-nos?

The biggest no-no for brows and lashes is to go against nature. If you have naturally thick brows, don’t make them too thin, this will only mean greater maintenance. And remember, eyebrows are sisters, not twins!

For the over-pluckers, what are your tips on growing back brows?

Use our Brow and Lash Strengthener at least once a day - we like to keep ours at our bedside to apply before going to sleep. It is formulated with pure cold-pressed castor oil which penetrates the hairs, helping them to grow thicker.

Over 35 years ago, my career began as a beauty therapist in Mayfair, where I was the only eyebrow threader, a very new technique to the Western beauty market. One day, a British Vogue Editor came into the salon, and I offered her brow services and promised her a non-surgical “facelift” in less than 15 minutes. The Editor was amazed with the results and after the coverage was published, my business began to rapidly grow.

What are you most excited about now Shavata Singh has launched in Fenwick?

This is our first-ever studio launch with Fenwick, and we couldn’t be more excited. Fenwick is one of the longest-standing luxury British department stores and stands for quality service, just like us. We want our treatments to be available to everyone in the UK to be pampered as they should. This collaboration allows us to be available to more, starting with the beautiful people of Newcastle!
