To really ensure that your make-up stays in place, Frey-ja recommends taking some time to prep the skin before application, and in this installment, she shared her top tips on an effective winter skincare routine. “One of the best moisturisers for make-up is Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream,” she says. “It blurs imperfections and make-up really sits on top of it beautifully.”
In addition, remember to keep your hands from touching your face. Our fingers add excess sebum and oil onto the skin everytime we touch our make-up, so reach for a soothing setting spray instead.
Before we apply any make-up, we need to prep the face first with a primer, so what are your top picks?
FB: “Primers are extremely important as they act like glue and secure foundations in place. We often feel tired or sluggish in the morning and in turn, our skin appears sallow, so I would suggest applying Clarins’ SOS Primer over the face because it brightens the face with a pink pearlescent sheen. Boost radiance in dry or dull skin with Charlotte Tilbury’s Wonderglow, which illuminates with light-reflecting particles. For oily skin types, reach for Pinch of Colour’s Honeyglow Waterless Balm, which leaves the skin with a dewy glow."
