Why an exclusive collaboration with PS Paul Smith?
Mithun: "Paul Smith is a British icon and we have worked with the PS Paul Smith label for many years. I respect how the brand continues to use colour and print to keep it fresh whilst ensuring the collection appeals to all ages. It’s always exciting to see what print they will come up with."
Martina: “The conversation for this collaboration started two years ago and is the first of its kind for us – one that offers women’s clothing, men’s clothing and accessories in the range.”
What do you think the response will be?
Mithun: "I am certain our customers will love the collection. They continually shop the brand within Fenwick and love our edit. This collection will be a great way for them to update their wardrobe with items exclusive to us."
Martina: “Hopefully they will love it as much as we do. It’s ageless, diverse, and most importantly, it’s fun. Our customers are magpies and love ornate pieces, which this collection more than delivers.”
What is the print inspired by? Is there any icon that sticks out to you?
Mithun: "The print is inspired by items collected by Paul Smith on his travels and reminds me of their showrooms, which always features eclectic art. I particularly like the robot motif."
Martina: “I adore the rabbit with the perfume bottle, as well as the illustration of Big Ben – I could spend hours just sitting and looking at it. Every one of the illustrations is hand drawn, which makes it that much more special.”
Which piece is your favourite from the collection and how would you style it?
Mithun: "I love the All Over Print Tailored Shirt (£150). It's typical PS Paul Smith – fun, interesting and colourful. You can wear the shirt in multiple ways but I am going to wear mine with the Buggy Jacket (£350) and Slim Fit Chinos (£145)."
Martina: "The Printed Midi Skirt (£260) as it's so versatile. I can dress it up with a nice top for a summer wedding or I can dress it down with trainers for a casual garden party."
